Tour to Mictlán

Our friend Virginia Navarro composed this song for the Mictlán Tour 2019. We share the recording live before more than 4 thousand people in the community, so that you can enjoy it (almost) as if you were there.

The Mictlán Tour is a process of collective creation that is held annually in Malinalco around the Day of the Dead festivities and that we have been promoting since 2015. In it, the children and young people with whom we work throughout the year become leaders and protagonists of a parade and an interdisciplinary show. Through this celebration, we tell a story based on the tradition of the holiday and in this way we transmit a message according to the organization's values objectives for the entire Malinalco community.

"When I saw them for the first time I was afraid of not being accepted by the group; however, now I remember with happiness the moments shared with Imaginalco. I learned many new words during the workshops that were very funny. I liked sharing things with the group just as they are. I learned that the neighborhood is not how people say it is; it's much better and it's cool! I met a lot of talented and loving people. I like being part of Mictlán because they express my favorite time of the year in a very creative way. I am proud of what Imaginalco has achieved and of all the effort they make. Thank you for letting me get to know you and learn from you, congratulations."
